What you build
Each module builds on the last, and the labs end with a small AWS environment created and destroyed entirely from code.
Infrastructure as code and the Terraform workflow. Why code beats clicking; init, plan, apply and destroy; reading a plan before you apply it.
Providers, resources and data sources. The AWS provider, authenticating with roles rather than long-lived keys, and looking up existing resources.
Variables, outputs and locals. Making one configuration work for dev, test and production.
State. What state is, why it matters, remote state in Amazon S3 with locking, and why state never goes into Git.
Modules. Writing your own modules and using published ones carefully.
Building on AWS. A VPC with public and private subnets, EC2 behind a load balancer, and an S3 bucket with a policy, all from code.
Changing existing infrastructure. Importing resources, handling drift and refactoring without destroying things.
Team workflow. Code review of plans, Git branching and running Terraform from a CI pipeline.
Team cohorts can shape the AWS labs around their own architecture, agreed on the first call. Taught live by Pushpjeet Cholkar, with room to interrupt mid-lab.
